Kuato: a grunt scaffold for lightweight web apps

Kuato is a command line tool for easily creating new Grunt projects for small or simple web applications. The tool is inspired by Yeoman, which is built upon Grunt. However, Yeoman was much too complex for most small/static web projects, and of course also very highly opinionated. I wanted to use the same sophisticated front-end build tools, but without having to spend time pulling unnecessary pieces out.

The projects that Kuato generates start you out with just the basics: Modernizr & HTML5 Boilerplate, jQuery, SASS/Compass, and a few starter files. The grunt setup also includes some grunt-contrib basics like a livereload server, concat & min, and js linting.

Documentation and feature list available on NPM and Github.

To install Kuato via npm: npm install -g kuato
